Admission Procedure


At Muthukaruppan Harijan Higher Secondary School, we welcome students from all backgrounds, with a special commitment to supporting underprivileged and first-generation learners. Our admission process is simple, transparent, and focused on ensuring every eligible child receives access to quality education.

We follow the guidelines laid down by the Tamil Nadu State Education Department for age eligibility and documentation. Admissions are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, especially in the lower classes. For higher classes, academic history and conduct are also taken into consideration.


📌 Eligibility Criteria

  •   L.K.G. Admission : The child must have completed 3 years as on July 1st of the academic year.
  •   U.K.G. Admission : The child must have completed 4 years as on July 1st.
  •   Class I Admission : The child must have completed 5 years as on July 1st.
  •   For higher classes, eligibility is determined by previous class completion and Transfer Certificate (T.C.) from a recognized school.

📋 Documents Required for Admission

  •   Duly filled admission application form
  •   Original Birth Certificate (from Municipal/Panchayat authorities)
  •   Transfer Certificate (T.C.) – for admissions from U.K.G. onwards
  •   Community Certificate (if applicable, for SC/ST/OBC)
  •   Aadhar Card (photocopy of student and parent)
  •   Passport-size color photographs – 2 recent photos of the child
  •   Previous academic records/report card (for Std. II and above)
  •   Medical Certificate (in case of health conditions or special needs)

💰 Admission Fee Guidelines

  •   Admission fee must be paid in full at the time of confirmation.
  •   Once paid, fees will not be refunded under any circumstances.
  •   Term-wise fee payment schedule will be communicated clearly at the time of joining.

🧾 Admission Process: Step-by-Step

  •   Enquiry & School Visit : Parents/Guardians can visit the school office or contact us to know about classes, curriculum, and facilities.
  •   Application Submission : Fill the admission form and submit it along with required documents.
  •   Eligibility Verification : Age and academic history are verified by the school office.
  •   Admission Confirmation : After approval, the admission fee must be paid to secure the seat.
  •   Orientation Session : Parents and students attend an orientation before the academic year begins.
