📚 School Rules & Regulations

Muthukaruppan Harijan Higher Secondary School is committed to maintaining a disciplined, respectful, and nurturing environment. We expect all students, parents, and staff to adhere to the school’s rules and uphold the values of punctuality, honesty, cleanliness, and cooperation. These guidelines are framed to ensure smooth functioning, student safety, and academic excellence.

🏫 General Conduct & Discipline

  • Students must wear clean and complete school uniform every day. Neatness and personal hygiene are compulsory.
  • Latecomers will not be permitted into the classroom. Students must arrive on time to attend the morning assembly.
  • Attendance is compulsory. Students should not be absent without prior permission or leave letter.
  • Habitual absenteeism, misconduct, or disobedience will attract disciplinary action.
  • Students should maintain respectful behavior towards teachers, classmates, and non-teaching staff at all times.
  • Use of abusive language, fighting, or bullying is strictly prohibited.

📔 Academics & Homework

  • Students must complete their homework and assignments regularly and maintain their notebooks neatly.
  • Parents are requested to monitor their child’s learning daily and sign the diary as acknowledgment.
  • Students are expected to bring required books and materials to class without fail.
  • Academic performance, attendance, and discipline will determine promotion to the next class.

🏠 Parent-School Communication

  • Parents are allowed to meet only the Principal during school hours for queries. Meeting teachers during class hours is not allowed.
  • Parents should visit the school on designated Saturdays to check on their child's academic progress and interact with teachers.
  • Any material accidentally brought from another child should be returned to the school immediately.

🏛️ School Property & Belongings

  • Students must not damage school property such as furniture, walls, or lab equipment. If damaged, the cost must be borne by the parents.
  • Students are responsible for their belongings. The school is not responsible for loss of books, stationery, tiffin boxes, or other items.

💍 Dress Code & Safety Rules

  • Students should not wear gold ornaments or bring valuable items to school.
  • Students are not permitted to bring mobile phones, electronic gadgets, or sharp objects to school.
  • Loitering in corridors, shouting, or causing disturbances is strictly forbidden.

💰 Fee Payment Guidelines

  • School fees must be paid on time as per the fee schedule (Term I – June, Term II – October, Term III – January).
  • Late fee payments may result in restriction from classes or exams unless prior approval is obtained.

📅 Attendance & Exam Policies

  • Students must be present for all assessments and examinations. No retests will be conducted without valid reasons.
  • Minimum attendance of 85% is mandatory for promotion and participation in school events.
